Problem: Help an awesome natural product line break through the noise of an oversaturated market – you know – the “Whole Foods” kind of people. I don’t want to call them hipsters, but let’s just say there are armies of people ready to jump onto the natural bandwagon… and even more brands that are trying to speak to them. The problem was simple: stand out.
Solution: We created a vibrant and authentic brand that was focused on approachability, not snobbery. We told the story of the founder (a mother of two) and integrated smart science into our offer: Wren Natural believes that total health begins with skin (hey, it’s the largest organ you’ve got!) We created a complete package over 12 months for Wren Natural, and it was a real whirlwind!
Learned: Creating a full brand (and everything that goes with it) from scratch is like running a year-long obstacle course: there are jumps, ducks, and sprints. It was an incredible journey of putting nearly everything I had learned into practice. Here is a sample of the creative areas I lead:
- 3 months of market research, interviews, and testing
- Renaming process and mission/vision established
- Logo design and visual identity
- Package design (10 products)
- Photography (products and lifestyle)
- Video assets
- Web design and digital strategy
- Social media strategy and content creation
- Marketing video creation and campaigns
Lucky for me I had an awesome support through my ever talented wife who provided all sorts of excellent ideas, wisdom, and an amazing eye to turn Wren Natural into a project we could really be proud of.
